Looking for a page-turner with some depth?  You might like to try a novel by author Taylor Jenkins Reid.  I read two of her books in the past month and enjoyed both for their plucky, deeply flawed female protagonists. In The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo you follow a young Cuban American woman fighting her way to Hollywood stardom. ADD In Carri Soto is Back a retired professional tennis player claws her way back to defend her title from a young up-and-comer.  She's kind of a bad bitch and I found it so refreshing to take this journey with her character, in all of it's messy glory. The ending feels earned, and makes you take stock of your own choices. When did you last lay it all on the line for something important to you

Jenkins Reid has written nine books. You may have heard of Daisy Jones and the Six,nwhich has just been turned into a mini-series on Netflix, (and rumor has it that’s it’s based loosely on Fleetwood Mac, one of my favorite bands) so that may be next on my list.
